NH Can't Afford to Expand School Vouchers

Some New Hampshire lawmakers are bending over backwards to hand out taxpayer-funded giveaways to wealthy families who already send their kids to private schools. Meanwhile, they’re cutting children’s healthcare, gutting public education, and even shutting down the Office of the Child Advocate.

Instead of investing in the well-being of our kids and communities, they’re pouring public dollars into private voucher schemes that do nothing but line the pockets of the well-off—leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces.

What’s Getting Cut to Pay for This?

While wealthy families get public taxpayer dollars for horseback riding lessons and ski trips, the state is cutting or underfunding:

  • Public schools

  • Medicaid for children and families

  • Special education services

  • Independent oversight for child welfare

  • Teacher pay and support programs

  • Mental health support for students

  • State aid to New Hampshire cities and towns

Take Action

Stop giving handouts to the wealthy.
